Adhesive Epoxies

West System is the industry standard epoxy for high-strength waterproof adhesives. Easily modified for a wide range of coating and adhesive applications, it is used for construction and repairs requiring moisture resistance and high strength. It bonds to fiberglass, wood, metal, plastics, fabrics and other composite materials, and is particularly well suited for marine applications. West System #105 epoxy resin is mixed with one of three hardeners. The #205 hardener is fast-curing, whereas the #206 hardener is slow-curing with a longer working time. The #207 special coating hardener was developed for coating and fiberglass cloth application where an exceptionally clear, moisture-resistant, natural wood finish is desired. West System also offers fillers and fairing fillers that can be mixed with the other two components and used for filling gaps or screw and nail holes, adding more strength or a tougher surface, and for filling and shaping low areas on surfaces like fiberglass, wood, steel and aluminum. Kits include the #105 epoxy resin and either the #205, #206 or #207 hardener as well as three dispensing pumps and a 30-page manual.
