VERITAS SET-UP BLOCKS
Setting up machines in the workshop can be a tricky undertaking. Using a tape or rule to measure the gap between a curved bit and a guide fence, for example, is prone to error. Worse, machines often require two hands to adjust, leaving nothing to hold the measuring tool. These precisely sized blocks solve the problem. Simply place the appropriate block or combination of blocks between the fence and bit or blade and adjust accordingly.
They are available in Imperial and metric versions. Each of the primary sets includes a larger steel block, plus smaller aluminum blocks in various increments (and in the metric set, 0.5mm and 1mm vinyl shims) that combine to cover a practical range of measurements for typical applications.
We also offer expansion kits in Imperial and metric, which provide various sizes in between the increments used in the primary sets. They reduce the number of blocks required when setting up larger combinations, and let you set a wider range of fine increments without having to stack multiple blocks.
Imperial and metric set-up blocks are also available in master sets that include everything in the primary and expansion kits.
