Based on the Rout-R-Lift II, the Rout-R-Lift 3.5XT uses a universal mounting system for use with all major makes and models* of routers with motors up to 3 1/2" in diameter.
The 3/8" × 9 1/4" × 11 3/4" phenolic insert plate has perimeter grub screws for levelling. The CNC machined aluminum router carriage travels on 5/8" guide posts and is operated by a 3/8" diameter spindle within a double-sealed bearing.
A removable crank above the table adjusts height and uses a spindle lock to prevent vibrations from changing height settings. The inset micro-bezel moves the router bit 1/16" per turn; the scale lets you fine-tune adjustments to a resolution of 0.001" by interpolating between graduations.
For smooth carriage travel, the guide rods are mounted into deep sockets to resist racking. When fully raised, the lift holds the router collet above the table for easy bit changes. The aperture has a 3 7/8" major and 3 5/8" minor diameter to accept large-diameter bits and JessEm's insert rings.
Aluminum parts are anodized to resist corrosion and wear, and bearings are double sealed to prevent dust infiltration. Includes hex keys for installation/adjustment, three insert rings (1 3/8", 2" and 2 1/2"), an insert wrench and a pivot pin.
The lift is available alone or in sets that include a table top and the JessEm Mast-R-Fence III, with or without a stand. The lift, table top, fence and stand are all made in Canada.
The 3/4" × 24" × 31 7/8" table top is solid phenolic resin with a low-friction surface. An extruded aluminum miter groove/T-track accepts jigs with 3/4" runners and 1/4" fixture-mounting hardware.
The 36" long, 3 9/16" high extruded anodized aluminum fence is rigid and easy to position. It has two hard maple sub-fences, a thick phenolic base, an adjustable bit guard, a 2 1/4" vacuum port, and an upper T-track with a metric/Imperial scale for direct reading relative to the cutter. Tall clamping knobs are easy to access for adjustment. The split fence permits effective dust collection, and the sub-fences can be offset for jointing or to eliminate sniping when machining full-thickness profiles. For stable support in cross-grain routing, the optional JessEm Mite-R-Slide II is sold separately.
The 36" tall heavy-gauge powder-coated steel stand has cross-braces for support and levelling feet for uneven surfaces.
