Compost piles that are slow to heat or decompose often lack sufficient microbial activity.
This organic blend feeds the microorganisms responsible for breaking down garden and kitchen waste, helping establish and sustain steady decomposition. It supplies nitrogen and phosphorus to spur microbial activity, while humic material, yeast and sucrose support ongoing microbial growth. Kelp and alfalfa encourage earthworms to work through the pile, improving aeration and adding castings, while lime and sand help balance pH and produce a finer, more workable compost.
For outdoor composting, apply 250ml (1 cup) per m³ (35 ft³) evenly over the pile and mix thoroughly. Turn regularly, keep moist, and reapply every 4 weeks or as needed.
Comes in a 4 lb (1.8kg) container.
