Lee Valley Dibber

This item is not available for this region.

Turned in a small workshop in Honduras, this dibber (also known as a dibble) is crafted by artisans employed by Fundación Madera Verde, an independent organization that promotes responsible forest management while providing steady work in the local community. Traditionally used to make uniform planting holes, a dibber offers a simple way to set seeds or transplants at a consistent depth.

Designed by Lee Valley, the dibbers are made from selectively harvested hardwood tree species that have been largely overlooked by conventional forestry operations. As a result, our stock is mixed, and individual pieces will vary in weight and appearance.

Though these woods are dense and often have challenging grain patterns, each dibber is carefully finished, with clean surfaces and no visible tear-out, reflecting the skill of the artists who produce them.

The dibber measures 12 1/2" long and has incised 1" depth markings. As with many handmade products, dimensions may vary slightly.
