AL256 - Wi-Fi Two-Zone Water Timer & Controller
This set lets you monitor and control watering for two hoses through a smartphone app. It includes a two-zone timer and a Wi-Fi controller that links the system to your home network and allows additional one-zone or two-zone timers to be added as needed.
Through the app, you can set up six advanced watering schedules any way you like. You can program it to deploy only on odd or even days, weekdays or weekends, or use the override setting to bypass the watering schedule altogether.
When you set a water usage and/or duration limit in the app, the timer pauses watering once the limit has been reached – for instance, after 4 gallons of water use or 10 minutes of watering, whichever comes first. Your water usage data is recorded in the app, with monthly and daily statistics measured and displayed in a long-term or short-term curve.
An optional cycle-and-soak mode alternates water flow in intervals measured in seconds. Intended for use with misting systems or soaker hoses, it allows water additional time to penetrate the soil, helping reduce runoff and evaporation in slow-draining conditions. Water consumption is tracked within the app, with daily and monthly usage statistics displayed as short- or long-term trend graphs.
The app displays a weather forecast for your area, so you can check if it is going to rain and then set the rain delay feature to pause watering for up to 72 hours.
With a USB port and included USB cord, the Wi-Fi controller can be plugged into a TV, a computer or a USB adapter plug (you supply) for power.
As with all water connectors, remove the water timer from the faucet before frost hits to prevent damage. Requires four AA batteries (not included).
