These self-tapping screws were developed specifically for pocket-hole joinery. They have washer-style heads with large head surface areas to help reduce over-compression of wood pockets.
The #7 screws have fine threads and are best suited to hardwoods. The #8 screws have coarse threads best for softwood, particleboard, plywood, etc.
Available in packages of 50, 100, 250 or 500 screws.
Square-recess drive. Cut thread. Finish may be bronze or zinc, depending on supply.
The 1 1/4" #7 and #8 screws are also available as part of a 675-piece kit which contains five commonly used sizes of self-tapping pocket-hole screws (sold separately).
