This is an effective tool for transferring water, oil or diesel short distances. A positive-displacement pump, it operates with an efficient pump-action of the T-handle, moving liquids at a rate of 4 fl oz per stroke.
Priming usually takes only about three strokes of the handle; you can then extend the handle to allow siphoning action to move liquids at a rate of 1 gallon per minute, without having to continue pumping. The 1/2" diameter PVC intake/outlet extension hose is supplied 8' long but can easily be cut to length.
Measuring just 13" long overall, the pump is compact for easy storage. A well-made tool, it is convenient for routine activities such as draining traps and toilets when winterizing a cottage, or for removing oil from lawnmowers or snow blowers during maintenance.
