Description

Durable and attractive, this ceramic cloche is an effective two-part system for making round, crusty loaves such as sourdough or rustic country bread.

The 10 3/4" diameter by 2" high base makes a convenient container in which to place your dough to rise before baking. Inside the oven, the dome traps moisture, keeping dough from drying out as it bakes and aiding in the formation of crust.

Displaying the distinctive Dominion pattern, the dome’s outer surface is finished with a lead-free, food-safe glaze. The cloche is suitable for use in the oven or microwave, and safe for oven temperatures up to 450°F (232°C). Hand wash only.

Produced by a family-owned business in Ohio, it makes an enduring addition to any collection of bread-making tools.
