Latex Paints

Despite its name, General Finishes milk paint contains no milk protein. Instead, it is a modern water-based acrylic paint designed to reproduce the soft colors and low-luster appearance associated with traditional milk paint while offering the convenience and durability of a modern coating. Supplied ready to use, it requires no mixing and applies easily by brush, roller or spray. It flows out smoothly, minimizing brush marks, and adheres well to both bare wood and many previously finished surfaces. Its excellent coverage and predictable results make it particularly well suited to furniture, cabinetry, millwork and household projects. Unlike traditional milk paint, which is often chosen for decorative effects and distressed finishes, General Finishes milk paint produces a uniform appearance. It dries quickly to a durable, low-sheen finish. It can be used on its own or combined with glazes and other techniques to create decorative effects.
