10S1058 - Narex Carving Chisel for Spoon Making
Narex designed this chisel for one specific purpose, carving out the bowl of spoons. The 3/4"(20mm) wide blade is curved such that the corners clear the work, and will not dig in. The short blade allows use in any direction in a spoon bowl.
Made from chrome-silicon alloy steel and hardened to Rc59, the blade takes and holds an edge well. The edge has been sharpened and hand polished. The 5 1/2" (140mm) handle is made of stained and waxed beech, with the octagonal shape providing a comfortable grip.
Excellent value for a chisel of this quality. Made in Czech Republic.
