97K5043 - Crucible Exeter-Pattern Hammer

Quantity:
Based on traditional British examples, this Exeter-pattern hammer is a versatile tool for cabinetmaking and furniture work. Ideal for driving the brads commonly used in casework and joinery, its well-balanced 9.8 oz steel head is heavier than a Warrington but lighter than a full-size carpenter’s hammer, giving it the authority needed to adjust bench planes or drive drawbore pins while being light enough for delicate work.
Like the Warrington, it has a 1/8" × 7/8" cross peen for starting nails or wedges. Its narrow profile slips easily between your fingertips to set a fastener without striking your digits. Once the nail is started, the 7/8" octagonal face is slightly domed and has chamfered edges to reduce the risk of marring the surface of your work.
The 10" octagonal hickory handle has a stout end for sure grip, tapering to a slender neck that lets you choke up for precise control.
