With a curved blade that’s sharpened at the tip as well as along the sides, this bark spud makes fast, efficient work of stripping logs.

The hand-forged carbon-steel head is affixed to the ash handle with a 1 1/8" tapered socket and secured by a steel rivet. The blade is about 1 3/4" wide. Overall length is 55".

Made in Eddington, Maine, by Peavey Manufacturing, a firm that has produced dependable tools for the timber and log-building trades since 1857.
