Description
This elegant hand-crafted knife is not only useful for general layout work; the 0.029" thick blade reaches into tight recesses, ideal for transferring the profile of narrow dovetail pins.
Available with an O1 tool steel blade, hardened to Rc59-60 for durability, or in a carbide version that is more rigid and holds its edge longer for less frequent sharpening (diamond abrasive required).
Both blade types are 5/16" wide by 1 7/16" long, and have a 44° spear-point tip with a 40° bevel on one face and a flat face on the reverse for flush registration against a reference surface.
For right- or left-hand use, the knife marks in either direction. Turned hardwood handle.
Three grooves in the machined bronze ferrule provide tactile cues for finger placement and improve grip for fine control.
