  • Full Imperial Set: 6", 12", 18", and 24":: Four lengths cover the range from close layout work with the 6" rule to wide-panel marking with the 24".
  • Tapered Edges Minimize Parallax:: Each rule is cut from a solid aluminum extrusion with tapered edges that lie within 0.01" of the stock surface, reducing the parallax error that comes from a thick rule elevated above the work.
  • Raised Feet Prevent Smudging:: Small feet set back from each edge hold the rule just clear of the work surface, so the rule doesn't smudge fresh pencil or ink lines as it's repositioned.
  • Fine Laser-Etched Graduations:: Markings are laser-etched against a matte black anodized finish for high contrast, graduated in 1/32" increments on both edges.
  • Bidirectional Scales for Flexible Layout:: One edge reads left to right and the other right to left, allowing direct measurement from either end without flipping the rule.
  • Solid Aluminum Extrusion Construction:: Cut directly from an aluminum extrusion rather than stamped, each rule is rigid and consistent in width — 1" for the 6" and 12" rules, 1 1/4" for the 18" and 24".

Veritas Bench Rules
Shop Our Complete Line of Veritas Bench Rules

Shaped much like a classic school ruler, these relatively narrow rules are lightweight and easy to handle, making them an ideal choice for precise drawing and design tasks.

The fine laser-etched markings stand out clearly against the matte black anodized finish, with one edge that reads right to left and the other left to right. All scales are graduated in in 1/32" increments.

Each rule is cut from a solid aluminum extrusion. To avoid parallax errors, the edges are tapered and lie within 0.01" of the stock surface, supported by small raised feet set back from each edge. This clearance ensures markings will not be smudged by the rule.

This full Imperial set includes 6", 12", 18" and 24" rules. The two shorter rules are 1" wide, and the longer rules are 1 1/4" wide.

Excellent tools for layout and design work. Made in Canada.

The rules are also available in metric sizes, as well as in combined versions with both scales, sold individually as well as in sets.
