05P8401 - Veritas Miniature Spokeshave
At less than an ounce and only 3 1/2" long overall, it is a third the size of our regular flat-bottomed spokeshave, and is useful for making fine shaping cuts where a full-sized tool would be too bulky or awkward to use.
Made of investment-cast stainless steel, the low-profile body (9/16" tall) has a 45° blade bed, a tight fixed mouth opening and hardwood handles. The sole and blade bed are machined. The 3/4" wide, 1/16" thick A2 blade is hardened to Rc60-62. Made in Canada, it is supplied in a French-fitted embossed leatherette box.
