This hardwood plane can be pushed or pulled. When pulled, the bevelled and curved upper front surface seats comfortably in the heel of your hand. When pushed, it is an equally comfortable configuration for applying downward pressure. While it may take some getting used to, this is an excellent short smoothing plane.

• 40mm (1 9/16") wide solid high-speed steel blade held by steel wedges



• Iron bedded at about 45° and a mouth opening of about 0.5mm (0.020" to 0.025")



• Able to produce shavings less than 0.002" thick



• Measures 175mm (6 7/8") long and 58mm (2 9/32") wide, with a 94mm (3 11/16") toe
