NWS Insulated (1000V) Cable Cutters

The German firm NWS (Nöthen Werkzeuge Solingen) makes tools that are widely recognized in Europe for exceptional quality, innovation and performance.

With a jaw capacity of 7/8", these cutters are intended for work with heavy-gauge electrical cables. The induction-hardened cutting edges of both jaws meet precisely to produce clean cuts without burrs or crimping of cable conductors.

The two-zoned jaw has a recess to improve purchase on cables – particularly useful when stripping the outer sheathing – and a serrated section to prevent cable from sliding forward while it is being cut.

Forged from special-purpose, oil-hardened tool steel.

About 8 1/4" long with broad three-component grips that create a balance of cushioning for comfort, texture for control and rigidity for support.

Intended for use by electricians, this tool is certified to comply with the North American, European and international standards for 1000VAC/1500VDC insulated tools and are marked accordingly with the "double triangle" symbol of ASTM F1505, VDE and the "1000V" designation of IEC 60900.
