There is no tool handier in the shop than a cabinet scraper, and this holder lets you use it to maximum advantage.
The light, strong, glass-filled nylon body, with all-brass fittings, is kind to a sharp hook. You can slip any thickness of scraper (6"/150mm long) into it, clamp it in position, and set the amount of bow with the screw-actuated center pad.
The body is molded to fit your hands comfortably. Your thumbs no longer get tired or burned during long scraping sessions. Even better, you can easily scrape toward yourself as well as away, letting you work to best advantage with the grain. You can set the scraper at any projection you want; the conical brass clamping plugs have a flat on one side for solid scraper support at any projection.

It accepts any thickness of standard 6" (150mm) cabinet scraper. The conical brass clamping plugs have a flat side that grips the scraper blade solidly at any projection setting regardless of thickness.
A center pad screw in the body presses a pad against the scraper face. Turning the screw clockwise increases the bow; turning it counter-clockwise reduces it. You can dial in any amount from completely flat to a pronounced arc.
The body is molded so that a comfortable grip position works in both push and pull directions. On bare-hand scraping, reversing direction is awkward; the holder's ergonomics make both directions equally controllable, so you always have the option to work with the grain.
