35B0201 - Captive Ring Tool
Turning tools for making captive rings have been available for some time, but two tools were needed – a right and left hand – making it an expensive investment.
This combination tool has a specially designed tip (similar to a modified skew chisel) to make both the right- and left-hand separating cuts after using a beading tool for the initial shape. Cuts a 3/8" thick ring.
Blade is 1/2" wide by 1/4" thick and 6" long. Hardwood handle. Overall length is 14 1/2".
Made by Crown Tools.
WARNING: This product can expose you to chemicals including Wood dust, which is known to the State of California to cause Cancer. For more information, go to www.P65Warnings.ca.gov (opens in new tab).
