17N1270 - Leigh Through Dovetail Jig
This simple and straightforward jig lets you make strong and attractive through dovetails using any 1/2" router. The double-sided jig has pin templates on one side and tail templates on the other. The joints can be fine-tuned for a snug fit with the supplied eccentric guide bushing, and their positioning can be adjusted with cams mounted on the jig. You can use the jig on a router table, or operate the router freehand, guiding it manually along the template affixed to a stationary workpiece.
Suitable for stock 1/4" to 13/16" thick and 1 1/4" to 12 3/8" wide, the fiberglass-reinforced nylon template comes with two side stops, two positioning cams, two router bits (1/2" straight and 1/2" by 8°, both with 1/2" shanks), a guide bushing (for base plates with a 1 3/16" through-bore and a 1 3/8" counterbore, with adjustment pin wrench) and all mounting hardware, as well as an instructional DVD and manual.
