Description

Each of these 36" × 48" plans is complemented with a detailed and well-written instruction book that contains a bill of materials, a cutting list, jig and fixture plans (where necessary), alternative construction notes and suggested finishing techniques.

These plans were influenced by a set in a 1920 book on English furniture. They have canted backs and curved armrests that make them comfortable to sit in. They are constructed with pegged mortise and tenon joints to assure long life outdoors. The double-crested backs lend a sense of style that enhances any patio or deck. Traditionally built of teak, they can also be made with California redwood, white cedar or white oak – woods that weather well.

The bench plan shows the double crest full-size. It measures 62" long by 20" wide and 36" high. The chair and table complement the bench seat to make a complete set. The chair measures 29" long by 20" wide and 36" high.

Skill level – Beginner.
