We have offered both of these hex shank bit sets previously, and they have proved to be indispensable in any shop.
 Short twist-style bits can be easier to position and control than standard bits, and are less prone to breakage. These have 1/4" hex shanks and are compatible with quick-change drill chucks and 1/4" driver adapters. All are made of high-speed steel and range in length from 1 5/16" to 2 1/8" overall. They are suitable for use on wood, plastic and metal, and come as a set of six in 5/64", 1/8", 3/16", 1/4", 5/16" and 3/8" sizes.
With 82° points to match the head profile of standard flat-head and oval-head screws, the three-flute HSS countersinks cut cleanly with minimal chatter. The set includes 3/16", 1/4", 5/16", 3/8" and 1/2" diameter bits for countersinking #2 to #12 screws in hardwood, plastic, brass or other non-ferrous metals. They are particularly useful for ensuring you have a neat, gap-free fit for whichever screws you have at hand. They can also be used to remove the burr left when drilling metal, slightly chamfering the edge of the hole. All have 1/4" hex shanks, compatible with quick-change drill chucks and 1/4" driver adapters.
