With an aggressive 5mm orbital pattern and relatively compact 5" diameter platen, this sander is a versatile workhorse, capable of both rapid material removal and precise sanding tasks. Only 4" tall and weighing 0.89kg (just under 2 lb), it connects to standard 3/8" diameter air hoses, requiring 17 cfm of air at pressure up to 90 psi.
It has a rear port for connection to a 1" diameter vacuum hose, and a pattern of holes in the platen that draws dust from across the entire sanding disc. It has a noise rating of 74 dB, a low vibration output (2.4m/s²) and a shielded outlet port that directs exhaust air away from the user.
The upper control paddle lets you adjust speed on the fly without interrupting your work – pressing the paddle increases the speed up to 12,000 rpm, a lighter squeeze slows the motor, and releasing it stops the tool within seconds.
Compatible with a range of Mirka discs, it lets you select from a full line of abrasive types and grits to match the application.
