Strong yet capable of precise adjustment, this jack quickly raises a cabinet, window frame or other assembly to the exact height needed for installation, then holds it steady as you drive fasteners. Capable of lifting up to 400 lb, it is constructed of heavy-gauge steel and fiberglass-reinforced nylon, with a sturdy 7/8" × 5/16" main shaft. Two or more jacks can be used in tandem to keep loads level and stable without need of a helper.

A full squeeze raises the lift plate about 7mm (just over 1/4"); a partial squeeze lets you gradually adjust the position in finer increments, to a maximum height of 9 1/4". If you overshoot the target, a controlled-release lever lets you lower the item in 1/8" decrements. A second lever allows a full release, letting the lift bars slide back to the start position.

The lift plate is 5mm (about 3/16") thick steel, slightly thinner at the leading edge so it’s easier to slip under an object.

A useful and substantial tool.
