They are made from Baltic birch plywood for a rigid shop platform.

To protect your work surface, it is often desirable to raise a project when cutting, drilling or finishing. These risers create a stable, elevated work platform with good accessibility.
Each 22" long by 5" wide and 4 1/2" high riser is a rigid box structure made from 18mm Baltic birch plywood.
Paired 5" × 1 1/2" openings on all four sides of the risers let clamps pass through, and two dog holes in each of the upper and lower surfaces accept standard 3/4" bench accessories. Minor assembly required (fasteners included).
