Earlex Spray Station’s Control Features
Use the spray pattern and volume dial on the Earlex spray station to control the spraying effects.
Controlling the Spray Pattern, Flow & Spray Distance
Three factors will determine the spray pattern and size: spray pattern selection, volume flow dial and spraying distance from the object.
By turning the air cap ring, you can select the spray pattern. Be sure to wear a cartridge respirator while using your sprayer. Finishes need to be atomized into a fine mist for good results, and even seemingly benign water-based finishes are hazardous to breathe in.

The volume dial controls the amount of spray. You can spray on cardboard to test the setting (Photo 4).
As a general guideline, hold the spray gun 4" to 6" from the surface for spraying stain and 6" to 10" for a paint job.

In the final section, we’ll show you how things all come together by combining the previous concepts with good spraying techniques.
