This adjustable magnetic support expands the HORL sharpening system from two fixed angles to six, allowing you to tailor the edge more closely to the knife and the work it is expected to do.
A sliding insert in the base has three indexed positions. At the standard setting, the two magnetic faces hold the blade at 15° and 20°. Moving the insert changes the paired angles to 13° and 22°, or 10° and 25°. The selected angles are visible through small windows in the base.
The lower settings produce an exceptionally fine edge for precise cutting and are best suited to hard steels capable of supporting acute bevels. The higher settings provide additional strength for blades used in more demanding applications.
Cushioned magnetic faces grip the blade firmly without pressing it directly against the metal support. Two non-slip strips underneath keep the guide stable on a smooth countertop.
Measuring 4 1/2" long by 2 1/4" wide by 1" high, it has a dark-bronze-finished metal body.
