With this kit you can make a knife sharpening set-up for yourself or as a gift for someone else. The kit includes two 3/8" diameter ceramic rods, 8" long, an 8" rigid nylon safety rod and instructions for building a compact base for use and storage. The rods are about 280 grit, coarse enough to remove material but fine enough to leave an ideal edge for kitchen knives.
