A donkey’s ear is a traditional fixture used with a shooting board to produce 45° mitered corners on wide workpieces, making it especially useful for box-makers.
The Veritas Donkey’s Ear is easily assembled and attaches to either the Veritas Shooting Board or a user-made version. Designed to be quickly installed or removed as needed, it provides an accurate, stable inclined platform to help ensure well-fitting miters.
It adjusts easily to set squareness to the fence and exactly 45° for precise miters. Constructed of 12mm Baltic birch plywood, it includes all assembly and mounting hardware and can be configured for right- or left-hand use.
The angled face is 10" × 8".
