To minimize the risk of kickback and splintering, these inserts reduce the size of a base plate's through bore and support stock next to the bit. Machined from solid brass, they fit any base plate with a 1 3/16" through bore and a 1 3/8" counterbore*, and attach with the threaded ring nut. Only one ring nut is necessary, regardless of the number of inserts you purchase.
The set includes seven inserts (1/4", 3/8", 1/2", 5/8", 3/4", 7/8", 1" inside diameter) and one brass ring nut.
* All Porter-Cable and Black & Decker base plates as well as some from DeWalt, Elu, Hitachi, Makita and Skil. Not compatible with our 05J25.01 Veritas base plate/table insert or 05J20.15 Veritas 1 3/4" counterbore insert.
