Quantity:
Used for flattening or resurfacing slabs, spoilboards and other panels too wide to run through a planer, this bit smooths and levels large surfaces quickly.
For use with a router sled or CNC system, the 1/2" shank bit cuts wood, wood composites (including MDF), epoxy, acrylic, UHMW and other polymers to a maximum depth of 1/4".
The triple-fluted bit has three bolt-mounted carbide inserts that can be loosened and rotated to expose a fresh edge or removed for replacement (spare cutters offered separately). Each insert is turned 45° so it cuts from the corner, creating a narrow point of contact to help minimize chatter. The substantial body further dampens vibration, resulting in a smooth cut
