Many hand tools force you to use them in an unnatural position, and this is especially true with trowels because of the awkward wrist angle required. Radius tools are designed to let the strongest arm muscles do the work, while keeping the joints in natural positions.
The 1 3/8" diameter handles (about 6” long) are thicker than most, making them easier to grip – especially for those with arthritic hands or little hand strength. The blades and tines are made from a strong aluminum-magnesium alloy, and all come with a lifetime warranty.
This set of five tools includes a trowel, a bulb trowel, a cultivator, a weeder and a soil scoop. Head measurements are 5 1/2” × 3 for the trowel , 9” × 2 1/2” for the bulb trowel, 7” × 3” for the cultivator, 9” × 1” for the weeder and 8 3/4” × 4 3/8” for the soil scoop.
Most of the tool heads are based on familiar designs – with the exception of the soil scoop, which has a broad, flat blade that holds a large volume of soil, making it ideal for transferring soil quickly from bags. The low-profile design and sloped walls help reduce spills, and the serrated edges are convenient for cutting open bags of soil or mulch.
