Used as the final step after sharpening, this firm leather strop removes residual burr and sharpening debris to leave a clean, refined edge.
After completing the abrasive stages, draw each side of the knife bevel over the smooth leather surface, moving the blade spine-first to avoid cutting into the strop. No honing compound is required.
The leather is smooth and finished on the working face, with an unfinished suede underside that helps it remain stable in use. Its relatively firm construction provides controlled support behind the cutting edge.
Measures 9 3/4" long by 1 7/8" wide by approximately 0.28" thick.
