Japanese Carpenter's Knife

This item is not available for this region.

A traditional Japanese workshop tool, this folding carpenter's knife has a sturdy laminated carbon-steel blade and a formed brass handle. The nearly 4" long blade is hardened to Rc60 and comes honed ready for use.

An integral thumb rest prevents accidental blade closure and provides a bearing surface for heavy cuts. It has a hole for hook storage or a lanyard (not included). Measures 8 3/4" when open; 5 1/4" closed. A handy utility shop knife.

For the curious, the Japanese characters on the handle honor the 17th-century swordsman, Miyamoto Musashi.
